Okay, Good morning, we are back. It's you and me.
Speaker 1:That's the way I like it.
Speaker 2:And Rosie, rosie, paws at me. She's like, uh, me too girls.
Speaker 1:Hey, sweets. Yeah, talk about soul family. There's a soul family member right there.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, Rosie, We've danced before, haven't we?
Speaker 1:Yeah, so we're going to talk about soul family today. Tara, what do you know about soul family? What do you think I don't know?
Speaker 2:What are your?
Speaker 1:outside impressions before we get into this.
Speaker 2:Okay, Well, when I think of souls and spirit, I assume that it's more and greater than anything I can understand. So then, my brain just kind of turns inward and I'm like I could make up a story that would sound great, but I have no idea, Although I have met people in my life that there's an instant recognition or an instant comfort with, and I assume it's something like that.
Speaker 1:That's exactly what it is. Yeah, that's exactly what it is. And so we have in our gosh I mean, let's just step back for a second in our realm of all of the support that we have for our earthly journey. We've talked about the fact that we have, of course, our angels and our spirit guides and our loved ones and our source energy that is all surrounding and all supportive, allcompassing. Even though we may not physically see, feel or hear it, it is around us. So, whether or not you are acknowledging it, that's just pure and simple truth. On Earth we have all kinds of like earthly helpers and supporters, right, and you can see people being earth angels in so many different ways on the planet.
Speaker 1:But we each decide and make choices to come through with a soul family, and it is exactly what you've just said there is, you know, it's a formed spiritual bond or kind of an ethereal or energetic bond that is even like outside and transcends those earthly ties and those blood connections. Like it's not. A soul family isn't necessarily about blood at all. It sure can be, but it doesn't necessarily mean. And stop there. It's so much further. And so these are people who understand you on a level beyond the physical, so connecting with us from a higher vibration kind of more on a soul level, and soul families journey together and the point of that is is to aid and support each other in growth and spiritual evolution. And so it is really like what a blessing that we have soul family on the earth, that we come across and maybe you meet a soul family member for a day and maybe somebody is in your life for years and years, or perhaps maybe even somebody for your entire life journey. There's a lot of different ways that it can occur.
Speaker 2:Yeah okay, so you're saying that when we're born, our soul comes down into our human body and that there's these other souls that have chose to come at the same time? And we've danced before like we've we've all been in another lifetime different parts to each other, so then we all pass, and then we come back down and reincarnate into each other's lives in some ways yeah, yeah, yeah would be a soul family.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so you kind of you can think about it as traveling through history together. Right, you, you've danced through history together, and so you know, um, you know, tara, like have we been burned on a stake together, maybe? Right sure, and maybe not together, but maybe we understand that, like you know, there's those understandings.
Speaker 2:I mean to be really like to make, put a funny uh spin on that but and then we're like redo, let's go back into this next life where we can get a microphone and speak on it freely Like those past lives are like look at us now.
Speaker 1:That's so true, that's so true. And so it can be connections that both nourish and challenge you. They don't always have to be connections that are always sunny and perfect all the time. Sometimes your soul, family is there to kind of like poke you a little bit and push you out of your comfort zone and you know, maybe say you know you can do it, you know you, even though it's hard, you can do it. Or you know, are you really making the best choice for yourself right now? Or you know things like that, so it can be things that challenge you still but that ultimately always, like, lead you to a better version of yourself. That's the difference. So it's not about, you know, shaming and making you feel horrible about yourself. I mean, you may feel challenged in a moment, but ultimately you become like a better version of yourself, Like there's something that you understand, something on a deeper level, or that you take it to a higher level, something those lines.
Speaker 2:So it's for positive.
Speaker 1:There's like growth and encouragement very much so, yeah, yeah, very much so, like that yeah have you felt this or known this in your own life?
Speaker 2:where? You've gone boom, that's a soul, family person, entirely, absolutely.
Speaker 1:Tell us about it, how you recognize it well, the one instance I mean there's lots I mean we could talk about, you know, even uh us meeting but the one that I'll share is um, I met my girlfriend jackie. Uh, our sons were in kindergarten together. Um, they were the kindergarten hellions, just fyi uh just to make you feel better.
Speaker 1:We we've been talking about Riley kids this morning and so, yes, we bonded over the fact that our kids were the kindergarten Hellions. But at any rate, we went like very early on in our acquaintance we went and had tea together while our kids were in school. And we were sitting there while our kids were in school and, uh, we were sitting there and I think I mentioned something along the lines of like angel cards or you know something, woo, woo, and all of a sudden something clicked and it was like unicorns were dancing and they sprinkled fairy dust over our heads somehow and it was just like, oh my God, where have you been? Like I've been waiting for you, and there was like this instantaneous kind of recognition or a warmth, or you know that kind of a feeling. And so always in a soul group or soul family connection there'll be that kind of a sensation.
Speaker 1:So when I met my husband, john, for example, there's a feeling of home, there's a feeling of instant comfort, and not in a codependent kind of a like in a in an unhealthy way, more in a way of like unconditional support, unconditional love, that kind of a thing, not like I need you to breathe right. So there's a difference. So I do want to make sure to discern that, because I really really feel strongly about you know, you being your own person and being able to like stand on your own and be on your own. It's just that sometimes, in the presence of somebody else, really great parts of you come out, or they can be discovered, or it just feels so good to be understood that you don't have to explain yourself, that you always have somebody in your corner, no matter what. Those are the kinds of connections we're speaking about, not like I need you and if I don't have you I can't live or I can't breathe. It's not that it doesn't have that intensity to it it's more like to me.
Speaker 1:It more feels like a soft recognition where your nervous system just settles deeply, like yeah, like it's more great, it's more quiet than an intense meeting where yeah, like it doesn't have, like, and it's not going to be like the kind of intensity you're it's such a good point to make, because I want to be clear about this. It's not the intensity where you, you know, viciously attack one another and then, in the next moment, you're fully in love. That's not it. That's not what we're talking about. Um, this is different. This is always going to be somebody who is, you know. I mean, not every moment of your life is going to be perfect and you're going to say the perfect things and react the perfect way, but you're always going to be able to come back to a place of you know, uh, support, unconditional love. It's okay. I've got you, um, and I understand what you're saying and I know this is hard, but I think you can do it or I believe in you.
Speaker 2:you know it's always going to be that, yeah, this is hard, but I think you can do it, or I believe in you.
Speaker 1:you know it's always going to be that, yeah, and that has a feeling of safety in my body, like as you describe it? Yeah, it should. It should have a feeling of safety and security because it should feel. The reason is is because that's a higher vibrational frequency relationship, right, and so those higher vibrational frequency relationships are not like codependent, but they are instead healthy and encouraging you to evolve and grow and change and shift as you need to, so that you are coming more and more into yourself. You know that your butterfly wings are getting bigger and bigger and that you're flying higher and higher. All of those things are really important.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I like it. It reminds me of the title of our podcast, even.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Like walk together fiercely. It's like times can be bumpy, times can be hard, but together we can do this and you find these people in your soul family that believe in you and support you and love you. And, yeah, that feels encouraging.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it does, doesn't it yeah? And so I think it's such a beautiful. I mean thank goodness for all of this stuff.
Speaker 1:I mean an earthly journey is hard enough. I mean, thank goodness we have all of these beautiful supports, and so you know, listeners might be going I don't know who's in my soul family perhaps, or I'm not really sure. So let's define that a little bit more deeply. And then we're also going to talk about ways that, if you feel like you're looking for more of your soul family right now, great, let's talk about ways you can kind of bring that in and what you're looking for and what you can do for yourself to bring more of that in.
Speaker 1:And so your soul family is always going to understand your struggles and your triumphs, like they're going to see what you're struggling with and they're going to be there to support you through that. But they're also going to be there to support and encourage your triumphs and and celebrate them with you when you have them. So when you have done something, that is amazing that they're just like yay, they really want good things for you as well. Your soul family always offers unconditional support and love and that fostering of a safe space for growth. Like you know, in this you don't have to worry about what I think, like you're okay to say what you think and what's on your mind or you know that kind of thing. So it is safe You're safe.
Speaker 1:You feel safe and you feel secure.
Speaker 2:And I like it too, like we'll put it an addendum that there is this slathering of humanness on that. So it can feel safe and it can feel loving and can feel supportive and it can have the bumps of like like you say. John's, your person, you can have the human moments with John, but there's this underlying love. Yeah, absolutely. That lets you have the courage to come back in and have difficult conversations or whatever it is.
Speaker 1:But there's this deep deep connection.
Speaker 2:that you can, that's right.
Speaker 1:We only joke about wanting to bury John in the backyard on occasion.
Speaker 2:We only joke about it.
Speaker 1:I don't actually mean it but it does make me laugh, so that's good. So when you reflect on your strengths and weaknesses and so I guess what I mean by this is in your soul family you will see your strengths and your weaknesses with them. You know that it's okay. Like you know, like, for example, when I backed into the garage the other day and I got out of the car, I'm like, oh my God, like was I looking in my mirrors? Or where was I looking when I, when I backed in in, like I did an absolute shite job of this. And so john is.
Speaker 1:John comes home and he's like, oh, I'm just gonna go grab this thing. It's in the garage. I'm like just a warning, um, I parked terribly, so enjoy that. So he goes into the garage and he comes out and he's like, really, and I'm like I told you, I warned you, and I'm like I didn't fix. It'm like I told you, I warned you, and I'm like I didn't fix it, I just left it, it's fine. Like it's not, none of these hurt, it just wasn't right, it was not straight. At any rate, we laugh.
Speaker 2:So like it's okay, Like to be imperfect.
Speaker 1:It's okay to be imperfect and um, but they'll, uh, they'll, they'll want to help, like in any ways that they can right, Like a soul. Family wants to be supportive.
Speaker 2:Oh, it's not your fault, you can't park very well, I love you anyways. Exactly.
Speaker 1:There's like an intuitive understanding or an emotional resonance, um, uh, that kind of sets apart from other relationships in your life. So we have many different kinds of relationships in our lives and you know I'm not saying like this that one is better than another. I think they all serve at different times in the ways they need to. But there's like there's an emotional resonance in a soul, family relationship that sets itself apart from others and there's just a level of security, safety and knowing, like even if maybe somebody, if two people don't speak for maybe a year, but then they come back together and it's right where they left off and there's like no time skipped and there's just this resonance of like oh, compatibility on a level that's just different than some of the other relationships in your life.
Speaker 2:Yes, those are my favorite friendships, oh right.
Speaker 1:Yes, yeah, totally yeah. And so how do you recognize your soul family? You said it first off, that instant connection, like an immediate sense of comfort or familiarity. So when you said this, what example were you thinking of? For you, tara, that was immediate resonance and connection.
Speaker 2:I met a friend of mine, ray, and we're very different people. It's actually one of the things that makes us laugh so hard. We're very opposite and she's in a different phase of life than I am and we just we. I don't know that we ever would have crossed paths, aside from signing up for this training together. So we signed up for this training together and in this first day she was terrified and we needed to hold hands for something. She's just vibrating in her body with this fear.
Speaker 2:And when I had left my home to go to this first day of this meeting, I my crystals were out on the back deck and they had just charged another million. So I'm like I'm going to go grab one for myself, throw it in my pocket. But something was like get the rose quartz, to get the rose quartz too, and I'm like I don't want the rose quartz right now. And so then I just listened to the intuition, I pocketed the rose quartz as well and I went to this meeting. I was also nervous, so we all courageously stand in this group. And at the end of the evening I turned to her and I leaned into the vulnerability of being a weird crystal girl that has crystals in her pocket and is handing them out to friends, right, so so.
Speaker 2:I turned and I said there was something telling me to bring this crystal, bring this crystal. And I realized now it wasn't for me, it's actually for you, and I gave it to her and she would not be a crystal type person.
Speaker 2:Like I say, we're very opposite people, but in that moment she felt a connection to me and I. It was the start of something that was just so fast and furious, Like it a hard day, a hard time, or just feeling in my muck. I can reach out to her or even just think of her because I make her laugh, like she thinks how do you, how can you feel bad about yourself?
Speaker 2:you're so incredible like she sees so much beauty in me and has so much lightness with my flaws or my mess that I get in like she's this source of just unconditional love and if I can see myself through the eyes that Ray sees me through. It's almost like a touch point in my life and it's the same for her like I.
Speaker 2:Just I can't even explain why I love her so much and unconditionally. We don't need to stay in really close contact. There's this thread of love that is like it can be feel like a lifeline to me almost. I love it, yeah, so it was just this instant meeting. And then she felt this wild resonation too. Oh beautiful. So I'm like we've danced before.
Speaker 1:Oh, I love that. I love that, yeah, and the world just is made just a little bit brighter because you've made this connection. Yeah, yes, exactly yes totally.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's gorgeous, that's perfect I love that it is such a feeling of comfort and familiarity just that she's in the world with me.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. There's a deep understanding. So they seem to understand you profoundly, and often you don't even need words, so that's really cool with the soul family.
Speaker 1:It's like, oh my gosh, I, I can see what they're feeling or going through and I just get it Like I just completely understand you know, that kind of a resonance and the support and growth. So your interactions are like. It's like having interactions that are filled with support and they focus on your spiritual or personal growth. So what I? It's not like you're sitting down and maybe making a list, but it's like, gosh, I see you and you're doing such a good job. I just want you to know that, or you know you made my day today or you made me feel better, or you know, I love hearing your voice. Thanks for the call or thanks for the text message. You know, whatever it is like, there's something there that just that, just like when we have that kind of unconditional love and support we do spiritually grow, that's just true.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's not the only way we do, but it is one of the ways that we grow yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah Well, it creates that environment where you can feel safe to be yourself and your authentic self can come out and yeah and in a place of safety and acceptance.
Speaker 1:And yeah, exactly yeah, so soul travels, soul families will travel through various lifetimes together and, uh, these recurring encounters so we talked about like traveling through history together. They offer opportunities for learning, healing and spiritual evolution. Like that is our the, that is the purpose of our being, is our soul evolution, our growth and the things that we will do, and really like how much heaven we bring to earth, so to speak. Like that's like how much joy and light and love do we bring to earth? And we just do so much more of that, uh, when we're together. Right, we just do like that's exactly what you mean Walk together fiercely. We just do so much more of that light bringing when we do it together. So that's the whole point.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I like that, yeah.
Speaker 1:So let's go through. How do you know if somebody is in your soul family for reals and what are the things that happen within that? And so we've talked about some of these, but we're going to go a little bit deeper into this so that nobody is confused. And so there's a feeling of instant recognition and comfort. So I think we've kind of tacked that one on. You and I. We've felt that we've both had those instances where we felt that instant recognition and comfort with one another. And there's an unconditional love and acceptance of the other person. And so even if, like as you say with your beautiful friend Ray, you guys are not the same, there's an unconditional acceptance of oh, you're a crystal person. That's amazing. I love that for you. Even if I don't have to carry around 10 crystals in my pockets and my bra, I get that, you do, and I love that for you.
Speaker 1:So it's that lovely friendships that we all have, where maybe you know I'm not going to say it's completely surface level but you maybe wouldn't tell like some of your, like every, your biggest things to, or maybe something that you're struggling with or that you're working on this isn't your audience and so you might not tell them all those things. With a soul family person you do. You do share the big things and and and the deeper things that are going on, and and know that you'll be met with support or whatever it is, or encouragement, whatever it is that you need in those spaces. Yeah, there's always synchronicities and coincidences around soul family.
Speaker 1:This I love, and so when life brings you together, there can be a series of synchronicities and coincidences and it feels as if there was a higher power orchestrating the meeting. So I want to come back, I want to just double back again on your story of your meeting with Ray, because that feeling that you had of I need to bring a rose quartz crystal why do I need rose quartz? I'm feeling more, you know whatever today Lipidolite, you were feeling more lipidolite, perfect, gorgeous crystal, but you brought your rose quartz because you felt it had to come.
Speaker 2:There's some sort of higher power saying to you put this in your pocket, you're going to need it for later and you did yeah, and then to follow that meeting, ray and I, it was like a five month training that we did, so we were in connection every week. For that we saw number signs like she wouldn't have known about signs before but then I pointed out, and then several times a day.
Speaker 2:We're both like pinging each other and we'll still do it. She'll be like good morning, 11, 11 and like we'll think of each other, yeah but we were lit up with numbers right after our meeting too very cool.
Speaker 1:So you got it exactly. Those really cool um, coincidences and synchronicities, don't shoo, shoo them away. Um, absolutely take them, because often these meetings are the right place at the right time. Um, and that feeling of like you know where have you been, like I didn't know that I was missing you till I found you, and then there's something that's just made just a little bit more complete because you're here, or the world is just a bit shinier because you're here.
Speaker 2:It's those kinds of feelings yes, that feels like when I had my kids like you meet them and you see them and you're like of course it's you. Oh my gosh, how are you not here before?
Speaker 1:I've been waiting yeah, yeah, exactly, exactly. Um, in these relationships there's always honest and open communication, and so it's almost refreshing like god, like you know, my girlfriend Jackie, like I can take pictures of what I'm wearing and I'm like, hit me with the truth. And and she's like nope, not your color, like don't, what about this one? And so then I'll send and like this is the person you want to take shopping because you'll put something on and they won't just like just say, oh, it looks great, because that's what it's a nice thing to do. Like they'll say, they'll say, you know, no, like let's choose a different color or let's, you know that kind of thing, I love that. Like I really love and appreciate that, and so those are the kinds. So it's not always like, you know, don't think it's all airy fairy all the time. Sometimes it's truths that you need to hear, um, that you might not have been willing to admit to yourself or wanting to speak about, or bring forward or talk about, but those kinds of friendships will.
Speaker 2:It's the friend that's going to tell you you got shit in your teeth, right. Like you got a little something in your teeth, right, you got this thing called the spice rack. Yeah, you got a booger in your nose.
Speaker 1:They'll have the hard conversations Do not let me walk around with lipstick on my teeth, exactly Tell me.
Speaker 2:They'll tell you yeah, exactly Because they love you. That's right, because they love you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you'll have those uncomfortable moments.
Speaker 1:But it's. But I mean for the most part it is very loving, I mean. But when you need that refreshing honesty, I really appreciate it. Yeah, so that's cool. Mutual support and encouragement. So your soul family is genuinely invested in your well-being and your success. Support isn't conditional. So it's not like, well, I'll be supportive if you do this thing for me, or I'll be supportive if you are this kind of nice to me, and then, as soon as you're not forget it, the support is gone. That's not your soul family, that's a soul. We can talk a little bit about soul group, which is a step outside of soul family. Soul family will be there unconditionally and they don't put conditions on the friendship or the relationship. It is just like they generally want you to do well.
Speaker 2:Yeah, they are rooting for you.
Speaker 1:Yeah, exactly, there is a feeling of like wholeness or completeness, so like there's beautiful ways that you complement one another, so like not being the same, but that yet your characteristics and qualities complement and you appreciate the characteristics and qualities that kind of thing that's really lovely. Characteristics and qualities, that kind of thing, that's really lovely. There's a more like a profound understanding of life, because this person is in. So the way that Spirit shows me this is thinking of life as that beautiful tapestry and that all of the colors come together and combine to make this beautiful tapestry. That is life. And we need all shapes, sizes, we need all the different colors and interests and choices, like we need all of it.
Speaker 2:It's like a kaleidoscope.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and it just makes life more beautiful. Yes, absolutely yeah. So that's kind of ways that you can know if you have met somebody in your soul family. That's kind of ways that you can know if you have met somebody in your soul family. So I hope that you have all met, or in recognition of you know, at least one soul family connection in your life, hopefully, more.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and it's so beautiful to think that we've incarnated into this life, which can feel lonely, or you feel like you're carrying a weight on your own, but to know that we actually were given this like entourage of other souls that are here to help us walk through this life. I think that's such a nice reminder that we have each other and need each other.
Speaker 1:Yeah, exactly yeah, and so I'll just touch really quickly on this. So I mentioned soul group. Rosie is loving Tara right now. We did not kick the dogs out of this podcast, which our editor, sammy, will be like. What was that noise?
Speaker 2:It was the dogs.
Speaker 1:It's the dogs they're, they're in our soul family, no two ways about it. We also have like soul group, which is kind of, if you think about like, if we think about like, if we think about expanding ripples, so this is a ripple. Outside of that, this is a little bit further away and soul group can be ways that people can challenge you in your life. Not always challenge, I mean. Soul group can also be fantastic connections, amazing connections. It can be family connections. I mean it can be even sometimes the parents that you choose, or it can be, you know, cousins or aunts or uncles and people that you meet in the store, for example, can all be part of your soul group, I mean. I mean really like, when you think about it, aren't we all kind of soul group?
Speaker 2:That's what I keep feeling, like I come around to.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I think we could probably stretch and get there pretty easily that we really are all soul group and I would think that sometimes some of the happenings that happen in life and I'm talking about the people that we come up against or the people that we meet are all opportunities really to learn and grow. And if you know, not every minute of my life I'm fully transparent with this not every minute of my life am I thinking how can I bring more light to the situation? Sometimes I just want to fucking be right, like I just I'm, like I just I'm doing, I'm sitting, you know, I'm curled up and I'm reading a book and I just want to be. You know I don't. I'm not always having to, it's not always work, you're not always on. I don't mean that Um, but uh. If you want to look at it from a higher perspective, you know people are in our lives to help us grow one way or another. Right and challenges often make us grow, and so yeah, yeah, and it's a nice thought to think.
Speaker 2:If we're all, we know we're all in in this together. We know we're all on this globe and the behavior of some can affect the many and that we are. We're on this planet together and I think it's such a beautiful reminder of that. We've all chosen to be here at this time. For what's going on and how can we walk this as an earth angel like? Can we bring more kindness to the other souls that have decided to come at the same time? Can we hold a door angel like? Can we bring more kindness to the other souls that have decided to come at the same time?
Speaker 1:can we hold a door open, or can?
Speaker 2:we right be open to meeting these other soul, family, people and yeah lending a hand on this earthly journey, like knowing that we're all carrying a load and we're in it together like that's a nice, it's a nice thought it is, isn't it?
Speaker 1:I know, it's just you know we need all the support we can get, so why not?
Speaker 2:yeah, yes, all the support we can get, especially these days like we're.
Speaker 1:I know we were talking about solar flares right before we started recording because, like feeling, feeling the intensity, yeah, yeah, for sure that's one of the things, at any rate.
Speaker 1:So how do you find your soul family? If you are looking for soul family, because I absolutely do come across people who are like I'm not sure. I, you know, I don't. I can't think of anybody in my life that hits these qualifications. If that is you, you're certainly not alone. There are other people who feel this way. If that is you, you're certainly not alone. There are other people who feel this way.
Speaker 1:And or perhaps maybe it is that you're feeling like you want to find more of your you know tribe, so to speak, that you want to find more people that are resonating with you and where you're at. And and I know that also too, this will always grow and change through your life, because if you are an evolving soul and you are evolving like, for example I mean, I use this example sometimes in workshops when I was five years old, I really wanted to be a fairy princess. Well, no part of me wants to be a fairy princess anymore. I haven't for quite some time. I've evolved and grown and changed right, and you know, I've wanted to be different things, or different things were important to me at different stages of my life. So we're always going to grow and evolve and change. That's always going to be true, and so some friendships will, you know, change, some will fall away, some will evolve and grow and new ones will come in. It's going to be all of it all of your life, and that's very much okay.
Speaker 1:But if you are right now in your life looking to find more people that are maybe kind of where, you're at nothing wrong with that whatsoever and the very first thing to do is to raise your vibration, so make sure I'm not saying that your vibration is low, but check in. You know where is your vibration? A high vibration always brings people. It just does. I mean it's magnetic. It cannot, and so it will give you choice also, which is fun, but you'll find that if you are doing things that take care of yourself, that bring and make your vibration higher, whatever that is for you. So me, sitting and painting, playing the piano, walking in nature, playing with my dogs Yesterday oh my God, my hands were so dirty, tara, like I broke a couple of nails. I mean I was scrubbing my hands fully for 10 minutes after my day in the dirt Best day ever, like a day very well spent. My vibration is high, right.
Speaker 1:Like so all of those things, whatever it is for you do the things that you know make your vibration higher, and you are going to find that almost within like a very short amount of time, that either a reconnection will come forward, new people will come in, new opportunities, new experiences, because that's just where you're vibrating, it just can't not be opportunities, new experiences, because that's just where you're vibrating, it just can't not be You'll attract it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and this is a great reminder for me to follow your intuition, and I learned this lesson years ago. I remember going and seeing a healer and she reframed something for me. That was really helpful. She said to me you're reading the energy, tara, and I never would have identified that that's what I was doing, because I was explaining to her. There's just certain people like I'll, you meet a certain person and instantly my body's like no, like I don't yeah, I don't like them and I thought I was just being a judgy little bitch like I just thought they walk in.
Speaker 2:I don't like their face, and it wouldn't even be about their face or about their, it would just be an instant Nope Like, and it would make me want to keep arms length or keep them at a distance or it didn't feel safe or whatever, and I always kind of took that as a personal thing, like, oh, I'm just judging them and this person reframed it. They're like Tara, it's the energy you're picking up on.
Speaker 2:Think it's a great reminder to tune into our intuition and like how does that person make you feel and who in your life does make you feel relaxed and safe to be around, or who do you feel really drawn to?
Speaker 2:and then can we have the courage to lean in for more connection, because maybe you have already met these people, you know who feels good to you and maybe we just haven't been vulnerable enough to open up to receive the love and connection that's there. So I think that it's a good reminder for me. Like to find your soul, family, follow that internal intuitive compass of like who feels good and who feels not great, or who do you feel drawn to, and I think that that intuition is going to help lead you to them as well.
Speaker 1:A hundred percent, exactly true. It's so important to pay attention to that and I think you know I love how you've worded this For me over the years, as I have learned to trust myself when I get that feeling of the no, instead of trying to be the nice girl and instead of trying to, like you know, find a workaround.
Speaker 2:Or brush off my intuition, or brush off my intuition exactly to, like you know, find a workaround, or brush off my intuition, or brush off my intuition exactly, or think you know I just just play nice, or things like that.
Speaker 1:I'm doing more of the no, the walk away, close that door Didn't mean to open it. Oops, thanks for the awareness and just trusting it and not questioning it, and then and then absolutely leaning into the ones that do feel really good.
Speaker 2:Which feels so much more fulfilling energetically. Like if you think of spending time with people or in relationships that don't feel good, that you leave feeling drained. They don't fill your bucket, they don't make you feel good about yourself, like think of the energetic expenditure that you have there, versus when I go and I get to have a cup of tea with one of these friends, that I feel like there's a rest in me it's like my ego, voice softens, I can see myself with more loving eyes.
Speaker 2:The connection that I just had in the stories I got to share filled me up like I leave feeling better that's right Than when I went into the visit.
Speaker 1:Exactly, and it's not a one-sided visit, right, like it's not a one-sided connection where you're the one doing all of the work or all of the. You know that there is reciprocation, that there's give and take, that there's that you feel seen and heard and that you also take time to see and hear the other person, like it's very back and forth that way, and not just those ones that drain you, so ones that are one-sided. You'll walk away feeling very drained and wonder what went wrong.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, and this is what you're saying, like that our soul family is not necessarily our blood family no so if this is our family members and you're thinking, oh, I've got to make this work, but they're leaving drained, like your soul family can be outside of your birth family or your family of origin yeah, that's right, yeah, and so I mean it's you're going to encounter those people all of your life, but it's what you do with it, and and so your soul growth would say leave some of those relationships, or don't make them the most important ones. For sure, some of them maybe you can't avoid entirely, if they are family or something but don't, don't, don't play your energy there all the time.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Play it in the places that expend your energy, where it's much more valuable and where it is reciprocated, and where you are valued and seen and heard. Yeah, it's such a great reminder, rather than trying to convince somebody that you should be valued. If they can't see it, don't worry.
Speaker 2:Yes, and I remember hearing it was a quote or a meme but suggesting that we spend 90% of our energy on 10% of our relationships and they just slurp that 90%. So it's like could we prune off that 10% that isn't serving us and spend all of our energy on these beautiful connections that we have, Because so often we can neglect or take for granted these soul connections because they're so beautiful and reliable and consistent.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but it's like we actually want to be sinking 90 of our energy into that beautiful relationship, opposed to chasing after these little toxic ones or trying to fix those like really, where do you want?
Speaker 1:to invest your energy yeah, or trying to get somebody to like you when you know they're really just serving themselves yeah, move along. Yeah, move along. Just watched a video on how to trim tomato plants and you go into the like the little yeah, into the shoulder they called it and you snip off and I'm like, oh my god, as you're talking, I just saw that video and I'm like, yes, we just want to snip out those little bits.
Speaker 2:All those little sucklings.
Speaker 1:we got to pinch them off the tomatoes so we get more fruit, If you are on a journey right now and you can say that you feel that you're on a journey of self-discovery, of evolution and growth, you will absolutely, right now for sure, have soul family in your realm, within your circle of being. For those that are not quite in that place might feel a little bit more outside of that, or feeling maybe they might have, they might express feelings of feeling a little bit lost. So the process is to begin wherever you are like, wherever you are like, accept it, acknowledge it, just say where you're at. That is like that's already 90% of the equation solved when you get to that place and the 10% is just a little bit of work. It takes extra that of wherever it is that you want to go or whatever it is that you need to heal or look at or feel. But if you're on any kind of journey of that sort, you will absolutely 100% have soul family around you. It's just the way it works.
Speaker 2:I love it and then ask, like you always say, like, talk to your guides, talk to your people, send a prayer and ask like bring these people closer to me. I'm feeling like I want the support and the connection right now. Bring these people closer to me.
Speaker 1:I'm feeling like I want the support and the connection right now. Yeah, yeah. And so if you are looking for more people, kind of in your soul family, well, what are you bringing to the table? Be very self-aware in terms of what you're bringing forward and then embody it Like, don't just talk about it, like be it. So if you want more loving people in your life, being more loving to yourself, if you want more people who are caring about the earth, you care about the earth and you'll bring it. So, whatever it is that you find valuable, embody that, don't just talk about it. Don't just talk it. Walk the walk and bring it in and start doing the things and you'll absolutely 100% find more and more soul family just by doing that.
Speaker 2:Yes, If you're wanting good friends, be the good friend. Like don't ignore that intuitive thing that goes check in on so-and-so like actually send the text and reach out and form these like feelers of connection. That's right, that's right.
Speaker 1:So if you want to be a good friend but you are berating yourself every time you turn around and talking to yourself on kindly, you're not going to find better friends. If you start talking to yourself kindly, it will immediately shift the ripple effect that you are making energetically that you can't see but that others feel, and they will feel that and they will be absolutely drawn in you're raising your standard of how you like speak to yourself and treat yourself.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's a powerful one it is powerful.
Speaker 1:So yeah, soul, soul, soul, family is pretty, pretty freaking great pretty cool.
