Is your nervous system in fight or flight?  Are you sympathetic or parasympathetic?  Understanding your nervous system better, helps to give you language to what is going on internally.  How our environment and what is happening around us, affects our internal system and what we do with it and how we recover.  We need gentle love and compassion within our experience, so that we can productively invite the healing in.  You might have heard about this, but do you really know what it means?  When you understand what your body is telling you, what it is saying about you, you can move from a place of stress or anxiety to a place of peace with a bit more ease.  In our culture, we live so much in the sympathetic mode, the go, go, go, the have to get the list done mode.  The stressors in the world that we collectively feel or the challenges that each person can experience.  This can lead to "dis-ease", and inflammation in the body.   We so need more of the parasympathetic mode!  This is where the body can heal, repair, digest and rest.  More calming and peaceful energy is where we are meant to be more than in that stress.  You can see the affects of that stress on our population.  You can see and feel the affects of stress on your own self.  So let's understand more the nervous system and support ourselves in healthier ways.  Let's Walk Together Fiercely through Getting to Know the Nervous System.
